Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ExpenseEasy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

ExpenseEasy is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to help users track and categorize their expenses through receipt scanning, voice input, and data analysis. The App supports two primary input methods:

• Receipt Scanning: Capture receipt images which are sent to OpenAI's API for text extraction and categorization
• Voice Input: Speak your transactions in nearly any language. Audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for speech-to-text transcription, then processed by OpenAI's API to extract the amount, merchant, and category

All financial data is stored locally on your device. AI processing is handled through secure API calls to OpenAI.

User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the security of your device and the app data stored on it
• You must provide accurate information when using the App
• You are responsible for backing up your data if desired
• You understand that deleting the app will permanently remove all your data

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or modify the App
• Upload malicious content or viruses
• Interfere with the App's functionality or security
• Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations

Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The App stores all your financial data locally on your device. Receipt images and voice audio recordings are sent to OpenAI solely for processing purposes (text extraction and speech-to-text transcription respectively). We do not store this data. OpenAI does not use it to train their models, but may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring as per their data usage policy.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ExpenseEasy and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimers

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated categorizations or voice transcriptions
• Users should verify all financial data and calculations
• The App is not a substitute for professional financial advice
• We are not responsible for data loss due to device issues or app deletion

Limitation of Liability

ExpenseEasy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App, including but not limited to data loss or inaccurate categorizations.

Referral Program (Invite & Earn)

ExpenseEasy may offer a referral or "Invite & Earn" program (the "Program") that lets you share a personal referral link or code and earn a reward when someone you refer installs ExpenseEasy and completes a qualifying paid subscription. By participating, you agree to the following in addition to these Terms:

• Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid ExpenseEasy account, and not be located where the Program is prohibited. One person may participate through a single account.
• Rewards are not guaranteed and are at our sole discretion. We determine, in our sole discretion, whether a referral qualifies and whether a reward is earned, held, reduced, reversed, withheld, or paid. Reward rates, minimum payout thresholds, and holding periods are shown in the app and may change at any time.
• Holding period and refunds (clawback). Rewards are held for a period before becoming withdrawable to allow for refunds and chargebacks. If a referred purchase is refunded, charged back, or reversed at any time, the related reward may be reversed or deducted from your current or future balance, even after it was shown as available or paid.
• Payouts and taxes. You may request a payout once your available balance reaches the minimum threshold shown in the app. Payouts are sent to the payout account you provide (for example, a PayPal email); you are responsible for its accuracy. You are solely responsible for any taxes on rewards, and we may require tax information before issuing a payout.
• Prohibited conduct. You may not refer yourself or accounts you control, create fake or duplicate accounts, use spam or misleading promotion, misrepresent ExpenseEasy, use bots, or otherwise abuse the Program. Referred users are shown to you anonymously.
• Suspension, freezing, and termination. We may modify, suspend, freeze, or terminate the Program — or any participant's access to it — at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. On termination for cause, unpaid rewards (including available and pending balances) may be forfeited.
• No relationship. Participation creates no employment, agency, or partnership relationship with ExpenseEasy.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may discontinue the App or update these Terms at any time with notice.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
